I have 27 years of experience servicing flexographic printing presses and associated equipment (UV, corona treaters, rewinders).
I have 14 years of experience as a Senior Field Service Engineer for Mark Andy Inc. I was hired to mostly service the customers in the Western U.S., especially California. The job, however, took me across the U.S., into Canada and Mexico, and overseas.
During this time I installed most of the presses in Southern California, and many of the presses in the West. I also, of course, did troubleshooting, service, retrofits, and modifications of those machines.
For the past 13 years I've been working as an independent service technician, servicing flexographic printing equipment. Although my primary experience and expertise is with Mark Andy Inc., I'm available to service any brand of flexographic equipment.
I've worked on Mark Andy, Comco, Rotopress, Nilpeter, Aquaflex, Webtron, and Allied Gear presses. I've worked on rewinders from Mark Andy/Comco, Rotoflex, Arpeco, and Web Techniques. I've also worked on U.V. systems from UVT, Aetek, Mark Andy, GEW, Brewer, UVResearch, and AAA.
My local area is Southern California, but I'm available for service wherever it's needed.
I was an electronics technician for 10 years in a variety of fields, including aerospace and medical equipment. During some of that time I worked as the lead technician/manager of two small repair shops.
I was an electronics engineer for 4 years, during which time I was responsible for phone and field support of the equipment my department had designed and which was deployed in 11 plants worldwide.
I then spent 4 years working as a field service technician on medical x-ray equipment, including CT scanners and a cardiac catheterization lab.
The last year before joining Mark Andy Inc. I was the Senior Field Service Engineer/Headquarters Technical Support Specialist for a lithotripter manufacturer, responsible for all technical support worldwide.
I'm a native Southern Californian. I grew up in Riverside, where I still live.
